Setelah hadirnya Gelato dan Cava lounge yang cocok sebagai tempat hangout dengan interior funky, kini saatnya anda mencoba Trattoria resturant yang terletak di Jalan Uskup Agung ini. Tempat yang juga hampir selalu penuh di kala weekend ini menyediakan makanan khas Italia dengan rasa yang belum dimodifikasi dengan lidah orang asia. Jadi bagi anda penikmat pasta, pizza ataupun steak, tempat yang satu ini wajib anda datangi.
Pertama kali datang di tempat ini anda akan merasakan suasana interior tradisional khas Eropa yang kental. Ini karena pemilihan rumah tempat restoran memang merupakan rumah tua peninggalan jaman kolonial. Interior restoran juga sepertinya tidak diubah terlalu drastis, malah terlihat kesan asli dengan pencahayaan kuning yang remang-remang. Anda juga tidak akan menemukan buku menu di restoran ini, karena menu hanyalah 2 lembar kertas recycle dengan list makanan yang tersedia-semuanya dalam bahasa Italia, dan tanpa foto. Memang sedikit susah memilih makanan, tapi jangan ragu untuk bertanya pada pelayan karena mereka akan menjelaskan arti tiap menu dengan detail. Kalau anda gengsi bertanya, pilih saja yang namanya paling menantang.
Kami sudah 2 kali berkunjung ke restoran ini dan tidak pernah dikecewakan oleh rasa makanannya. Favorit kami adalah pizza-nya yang tipis dan renyah, tidak seperti pizza konvensional di restoran cepat saji khas Amerika. Walaupun tipis, namun diameter pizza cukup besar, sebaiknya anda kongsi berdua atau bertiga untuk yang satu ini, lalu pesan lagi makanan lain seperti pasta atau steak. Oya, disini tidak tersedia sambal botol, hanya ada bubuk cabe dan hot olive oil bagi anda yang suka pedas.
Soal harga kami tidak permasalahkan karena rasa makanan dan pelayanan yang ditawarkan senantiasa membuat anda tersenyum puas. Kami juga menyarankan anda reservasi terlebih dahulu di hari-hari weekend dan kosongkan perut anda sebelum datang kemari. Selamat mencoba!

I have been in Kuala Lumpur last week. I have passed by Trattoria Branch there. lunch time was full house. it is a nice restaurant in a ground floor in a building next to Petronas Towers.

Tempat ini memang baik buat santai/makan mlm.tetapi buat teman2 yang seaqidah (moeslem) sangat wajib lebih baik dihidari karena ada menu makanan yang tidak halal di dalamnya (dari sumber terpercaya)..

We dined in trattoria on New Year’s Eve. Fully satisfy with the foods, the air is good, great improvement of service although the waiting time was a bit longer but understandable in that packed evening, fair price (no increasing even on NY’s Eve), no complain at all but instead “Trattoria doing very good nowadays”.

I beleived this is misunderstanding. As behalf of the management I apologized. Our Italian chef can’t speak Indonesian and English very good. I believe he didn’t mean any harm. We’ll improve our services and as your input in size of take away pizza we’ll find a better resolution to that.

sadly, I have to agree, the italian in the restaurant does not provide the best service in town. have to regret that such as high class restaurant have to be handicap by such a poor service.
I do not believe that cultural difference is an issue here. I have been to italy, although italian might be rude sometimes, it does not happen to me in restaurant.

You may have served the delivery pizza based on that concept for a year but mind you, there are still plenty first timer like me out there to order take away, who will appreciate to be informed beforehand that the size will be different.
As for my case, I have been put in a difficult situation for the pizza were actually to be shared by my kids with some of their good friends, for the original size it will be good enough, but now I only got 2 boxes of 4 slices of pizza in it. If I were told beforehand, I will definitely order more.
Lastly, let us try to say this in the sweetest tone ever..”Don’t take the pizza if you are not satisfied with the size”…. I wish it sounds different, but the meaning remains.

It is already one year we serve the delivery pizza in a smaller size than the pizza you get in the restaurant.
The reason is:
We prepare the delivery pizza slightly thicker than the normal one, to avoid the pizza became too cruncy during the travel from our restaurant to delivery destination.
This is what exactly we do in Bali as well.
The pizza is prepared with the same amount of bread and has the same prize even if we give the cartoon box.
We believe there has been a misunderstanding in regards to the tone of our italian chief reply, he was just telling you not to take the pizza if you are not satisfied with the size. there is a bit of cultural difference in the tone of our languages.

I dined in trattoria quite many times. Today I ordered 2 pizza to go, to my surprise the size is different from dine in, so small just slightly bigger than the ‘personal pan pizza’ from Pizza Hut, but with the ‘same price’ as regular. I complained and got a ridiculous explanation that for take away the pizza has to be made small to fit in the small pizza box, anyhow this rude italian claim that the weight of the dough is the same. Explanation accepted eventho I don’t agree with him and I prefer to be informed when I made an order (by phone) that the size will be smaller for take away. To make things worse this rude italian throw me the last arrogant line… IF YOU DON’T FEEL HAPPY THEN DON’T TAKE IT…and to make sure I hear it clearly he repeated 3 times.
To my regret I have no choice but to take it, coz I was in a rush to drop it to my kids otherwise they’ll miss their lunch at school..and now these surprisingly small pizza is definitely not enough for them.
I wonder whether he represents true italian manner ?? Damn Italian, why don’t you go back to primary school to get your education, they teach good manner there !
Hi Medan, memang kota kita yang tercinta ini semakin berkembang dalam kuliner. Kemarin saya coba di Fusion bistro yang baru dibuka di Ground Floor Cambridge City Square makanannya mantap….cocok buat lidah Medan..Di sana ada makanan asia seperti Hainan Chicken Rice, sup buntu panggang, nasi goreng kampungnya juga muantap, apalagi nasi goreng tom yamnya. Selain itu juga ada fusion pasta misalnya curry pasta hmmmm memang lidah Medan…..grill Salmon dan Tenderloin juga best….buruan coba aja langsung soalnya lagi ada discount 20%….hehehe memang MANTAAAAPPPPP SEDAPPPPP HEHEHEHE…..
kemarin baru makan bersama keluarga di Trat. Kaget juga sama pelayanannya, tidak seperti yang dikatakan review di atas. Pelayannya kurang mengerti menu, ditambah servisnya di bawah standar. Kami memesan daging well done, namun datang dengan tekstur yang masih mentah. Disuruh masak lagi (bukan minta baru loh), 3 kali, masih tetap saja merah. Padahal kita juga ada pesan 2 dish yang sama, yang welldone, dibuat benar.
Lalu kami panggil manager, tidak ada. Supervisor pun tidak ada. Restoran sekelas ini tidak ada supervisor? Aneh kan? Pantas servicenya buruk for that day.
Lalu dipanggil chefnya, bukan orang indo, tapi berlagak cuek.
Maybe just for that day yah servicenya begitu. But please improve it! restoran sekelas Trat tidak sepantasnya begitu.

When I do not find anyone to accompaign me I order pizza delivery at home. they have not minimum order and delivery fee. the service is quite ok and I have not to cook at home 🙂

So far this is the best Italian cuisine in Medan! Menurut lidahku lah ya. Beda sama (maaf) Spageddies. Tastenya sangat original, dan gue support Tratoria TANPA sambal ABC forever and ever. Biar orang Medan terbiasa respect dengan kekayaaan rasa dan makanan multinasional.
Nggak lucu aja kan makan Pizza tapi pake topping ikan teri dan bawang bombai. Aduh, pusing!!!

Bener Dez, itu mungkin karena mereka bener-bener mau mempertahankan citarasa asli masakannya. Saos sambal botolan memiliki rasa yang sangat kuat, sehingga makanan apapun yang dicocol sambel botol akan kehilangan rasa aslinya.
